New Styling Elements
The 2021 Honda Odyssey looks a little different this time around. On the outside, the new LED headlight design is coupled with an updated front grille for a more sturdy, athletic look. A few subtle changes have also been made to the rear liftgate. The inside has also seen some changes. Leather upholstery options now have contrasting piping and stitching to really made the leather pop. A new piano black trim, revised floor mat design, and updated climate controls are also available on various trims levels.
Base Trim Safety Update
While most 2020 Honda Odyssey models had the Honda Sensing® technologies suite, the package didn’t come standard on the base LX trim. That has changed! The 2021 Honda Odyssey LX now has a collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams.
Industry-First Rear-Seat Reminder
The new rear-seat reminder system will be included on 2021 Honda Odyssey Touring and Elite trims, an industry first. This feature prompts drivers to check the rear seating area before exiting the vehicle. It does so with an auditory warning and a written message displayed on the driver display. The rear seating area is displayed on the infotainment screen thanks to CabinWatch integration.
